ABDULRAHIM OSMAN ELMI
President
Mr Elmi is an educator and filmmaker born in Somalia, and now based in Perth, Australia. In 2016 he founded Roots Tv, a media arts organisation focused on empowering young people in Western Australia by teaching them creative and technical skills in film and digital media while supporting communities of young artists. with over 30 years experience in working in youth organisations, and doing documentaries with channel 4 and BBC in the UK that exists to amplify the voices of documentary filmmakers of young people who struggle with mainstream challenges and disengagement between the ages of 12-24 years old.
